Strings
String instruction is offered in 4th, 5th and 6th grades. Lessons are held on
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings. Each child will have two lessons each week. One
lesson is taught within a small group and the other one in a large group. This allows the student to have individual and group experiences both of which are vital in building musianship.
Daily practice is important for all musicians. It makes a skill become easy. With success comes fun and enjoyment. Learning to read and play music is good for the brain as it fosters growth in ways that are important for healthy development.
